The back of your canvas frame can be in either a Standard finish or a Gallery finish or you can also choose not to have your canvas stretched over a frame. You choose which Finish you would prefer when you upload your photo and there are two choices:
Standard finish means the staples on the back of the frame are exposed. The excess canvas remains intact at the back and the cord is attached with staples. This is sufficient for small prints which are very light-weight - view a closeup of Standard finish

What is Gallery finish?
Gallery finish means excess canvas at the back of the frame is cut off and the staples are covered with tape. The cord is then attached with screws. The advantages of the Gallery finish are that the tape protects your walls from any possible effects of the staples against the wall, plus the height of the canvas can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the cord with the screws. There is an extra cost for Gallery finish which varies according to the size of the canvas you choose. The additional cost for choosing Gallery finish will be clearly shown as you go through your options. In all cases you will have the choice to pick from either Standard finish or Gallery finish - view a closeup of Gallery finish
